Built Sets on Universal lot. Since there were children and a dog in the show we built every set on stage or on the lot. We broke the record for the number of sets built on Universal Lot in a single season! The main house was a Pasadena Craftsman and done in the tones of a vintage postcard. The feel of the show was slightly nostalgic having originally been written as a flash back to the 80’s but then done as a present day voiceover. We had the house on one stage, the loft
apartment on another; both of those exteriors were remodels of existing façades on the backlot.
